Short information about the company:

We are an open standard, global communications app that lets you call any mobile or landline phone, SMS any mobile, and chat anywhere in the world for free. The app is now available in over 100 countries including Germany, Italy, Mexico, and the US with more than 5 million active users and growing fast.

Description of activities:

You will work on the core telephony and messaging services consumed by VoIP phone apps (iOS and Android). The critical services are mainly written in Erlang. The main protocols are SIP and XMPP. The services are responsible for routing voice calls and messages between the app’s users, and also between the app ecosystem and the regular phone network through several providers of voice, SMS and DID. They are also in charge of AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting)

You will work in collaboration with the rest of the IT team (about 10 people) to achieve common milestones. We strive to use best practices and tools:  agile methodology, comprehensive documentation, automated testing, etc.

Starting date: Flexible starting date

Duration: Minimum 6 month

Working hours: full time position (40 hours/week)

Financial support: 8 € per hour

Job related skills

 

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineer
• Some knowledge of Erlang is desired, but not required.
• Passionate about programming, software architecture and patterns, and unit testing.
• Knowledge about Concurrent and real time programming.
• English at a fluent level
• Team worker, eager to learn, pro-active
• A strong focus on quality and a desire to get things done the best possible way
• Able to work under pressure
• Be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant
