ROOSTERGNN Global News Network (RGNN.org), a non-profit organization, and ROOSTERGNN Academy are OFFERING,

Intensive Journalism, Photography & Video Internship Seminars, based in Madrid, Spain.

During the Journalism Internship Seminar, students participate in an intensive journalism program coordinated by a Team of Editors and Writers, with the participation of Experts and Mentors. The program includes attendance at Editorial Meetings, Journalism Workshops, Photography Workshops, Video Workshops, Mentoring Sessions and Feedback Sessions, all of which culminates in the publication of a bi-weekly travel magazine, publishes in digital format in the news agency.

All of the Experts and Mentors are bilingual (English & Spanish). To participate in the Seminars, it is required that students have knowledge of at least ONE of these languages. Students can choose to write their articles in English, Spanish or both.

The selection process is rigorous and includes an interview for all candidates of interest.

The Internship Seminar offers students the possibility to graduate with a Portfolio of Published Content, published in the news agency, a Journalism, Photography & Video Internship Certification, a Certification of Academic Credit, as well as a Letter of Recommendation of Merit, if applicable.

The Internship Seminar includes housing in shared studio apartments in the central Salamanca neighborhood of Madrid, Spain.

• Group Feedback & Editing Sessions. Get hands-on feedback from our Editor and edit your stories until they are ready for the magazine!
• The program includes interactive hands-on workshops with prestigious Experts and Mentors.
• The program can be complemented with site visits to companies and organizations related to the subject matter of the Internship Seminar.

Academic & curricular benefits.

Completing a Two-Week Module allows students to obtain the following academic or curricular documentation:

• Certification of Journalism, Photography and Video Portfolio.
• Internship Seminar Certification specializing in Journalism, Photography & Video.
• Certification of Academic Credit. 30 hours/week. Total: 60 hours of academic credit.
• Processing of University Agreements and/or other External Documentation for Academic Credit.

Completing more than one Two-Week Module allows students to obtain the following academic or curricular documentation:

Letter of Recommendation of Merit, if applicable.

Housing & 24 hour local emergency support.

The Internship Seminar includes housing in shared furnished studio apartments selected by RGNN in the central neighborhood of Salamanca in Madrid, Spain.

Each apartment is furnished with the following facilities:

• Furnished shared apartment, two individual beds, single sex.
• Own bathroom.
• Own kitchen, complete with fridge, stove, microwave and cooking utensils.
• Air-conditioning / heating, depending on season.
• Cleaning and changing of sheets and towels.
• Wifi.

The building moreover has:

• 24 hour concierge.
• Laudromat and dryer room.
• Swimming pool.
• Sundeck.

The Internship Seminar moreover includes local emergency support: 24 hours, bilingual (English and Spanish).

Logistical & Academic Welcome Packets. Before the start of the Internship Seminar, enrolled students will receive a Logistical Welcome Packet via email. The Academic Welcome Packet, with updated details such as the updated schedule, will be given to students on the first day of the Internship Seminar in Madrid.
