Short information about the company:

We are an open standard, global communications app that lets you call any mobile or landline phone, SMS any mobile, and chat anywhere in the world for free. The app is now available in over 100 countries including Germany, Italy, Mexico, and the US with more than 5 million active users and growing fast.

Description of activities:

Together with the rest of the IT team (10 people) you will develop and maintain different components of our telephony and messaging app. The backend architecture consists of multiple micro-services which communicate with each other in XMPP.

Another area of work is the administration tool (used for managing rates, call terminations, plans, advertising campaigns, reports, etc.).  Also developed in python (Django) are the country-specific e-commerce sites for users to buy a telephony package (SIM data card + cloud number + calling plan).

An area of future work is to develop a web client for the app.

Starting date: Flexible starting date

Duration: Minimum 6 month

Working hours: full time position (40 hours/week)

Financial support: 8 € per hour

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineer
• HTML, CSS, Python, basics of Django, HTML, CSS, and a useful subset of all the web development tools/technologies out there
• English at a fluent level
• Team worker, eager to learn, pro-active
• A strong focus on quality and a desire to get things done the best possible way
• Able to work under pressure
• Be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant
