Who are we?

Founded in 2000, Celfocus is a joint venture of Vodafone Portugal, a fully owned subsidiary of Group Vodafone, and Novabase, the largest Portuguese information technology company listed on the Euronext Lisbon Stock Exchange.

We develop and implement technology solutions that help Communication Service Providers (CSPs) undergo Digital Transformation, by delivering a full fledge Telco Asset based on components that address CSPs’ most complex, mission-critical issues.

These components can evolve, allowing flexible IT BSS / OSS transformation projects, with significant lower complexity to address evolving business challenges.

Our methodology is tailored to reduce risk in IT projects and achieve the 100% success rate. To do that, we do not start projects from scratch. We have a solid vision of what does and doesn’t work, based on two pillars: our customer centric architecture and our evolving reusable components (using our own technology or assembling technology from other vendors).


Profile: Software Developer.

Purpose: CELFOCUS recruitment process should be supported by a centralized platform where all opportunities are listed by the different Business units and algorithms/procedures can be applied to apply the prefetching criteria between the candidates and the opened opportunities. In summary, the app and/or website should support the 4 steps of the recruitment:1.Req. Creation; 2.Attracting and sourcing; 3.Screening and Shortlisting; 4.Iterviewing and hiring. 

Strategic background: The global economy have emerged from a deep financial crisis and with that an shift has occurred from an employer to a candidate-driven job market.  IT Recruitment in particular is nowadays a challenging effort for organizations. For this reason all the recruitment process should be optimized and adapted to the modern world challenges.


  • Design from high level requirements provided by the sponsor a web/mobile platform ;
  • Work closely with DEV teams tech sponsors to learn and implement according with best practices
  • Use open source philosophies to create generic and reusable solutions;
  • Use a continuous improvement approach in all projects;

Job related skills


  • Have/studying for a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or similar;
  • Have experience/knowledge in at least one object-oriented language (e.g.: Java, C#, Android, Objective-C) and at least one dynamic-typed language (e.g.: PHP, JavaScript);
  • Can prioritize work and meet deadlines;
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Have good written/spoken English skills;
  • Will to learn;
